Web Data

Decomposs html pages into a tabular model in SQL Server. You can filter on any element. The advanced web connector enables to grab all pages. eXtractorONE is also an RSS Reader. Download any feed you want.

eXtractorONE is capable of decomposing html pages into a tabular model in SQL Server.

You can filter on any element if you just need to extract data from web tables or any other component.

The advanced web connector in eXtractorONE can parametrize URLs to have them populated with a sequence to grab all pages.

eXtractorONE is also an RSS Reader. You can download any feed you want into a tabular model in SQL Server.

SOAP Web Services

Connect to any web service just by entering the WSDL URL and store data in readable tables. Even when data is distributed in XML format there is no need for coding.

SOAP Web Services can be used to distribute data via the web. eXtractorONE can connect to any web service just by entering the WSDL URL. The parameters can be populated by values in the database of your company. I.e.: upload the VAT numbers of your complete supplier table to the VIES web service and retrieve the validity of the VAT number including the registered location. All data will be stored in readable tables. IT departments also tend to open data via WSDL web services for other departments. As the data is distributed in XML format eXtractorONE is the right choice.

REST API’s

Download data from many companies and Social Media providers just by entering the API URl with a token.

Many companies are investing in API’s. Social Media providers support the use of APIs. Thousands of companies open their data for research or integration reasons. Some organizations make more money with selling their data than selling their core products. With eXtractorONE you can download data from lots of APIs just by entering the API URl with a token. You can populate dynamically the parameters with your database content. Download certain tweets via the Twitter API, find the location via BING Maps API, translate the tweets via Google Translate API.

XML/JSON files

Shred all the XML and JSON elements from web services, meta data repositories of Business Intelligence tooling, application data or XML files used for messaging and puts them into a tabular model in SQL Server.

XML and JSON is everywhere. It’s not only distributed via web services. You can find it in meta data repositories of Business Intelligence tooling, application data or in XML files used for messaging. eXtractorONE shreds all the elements into a tabular model in SQL Server. Self-referencing nodes are recognized and flattened into a hierarchy table. There is no limit on the size, the data will be streamed into memory and RAM will be cleared when a part of the data is stored in the database. XML files are handled with mixed content model on complex types. eXtractorONE doesn’t need a schema. All you need is the source.

SQL

Leverage your Business Intelligende system so that you can easily ask which columns and tables are used. eXtractorONE can also leverage your Business Intelligende system.

eXtractorONE can convert SQL syntax of several database types to XML. Second step is to split all the elements of the SQL syntax into database tables.

With this functionality you can easily ask which columns and tables are used in SQL code in Business Intellgence reporting tools (like SSRS, IBM Cognos) or ETL tools (like Informatica Powercenter, SSIS).

eXtractorONE can also decompose SQL views. This functionality leverages your Business Intelligende system.

Embedded Connectors

eXtractorONE is able to invoke all API endpoints and WSDL Web Services, but in some cases it could be more user-friendly to utilize an intuitive user interface. eXtractorONE has API connectors for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN, Youtube, Google Analytics, Walmart, Bol.com, Zalando, BestBuy etc.

eXtractorONE is able to invoke all API endpoints and WSDL Web Services.  But in some cases it could be more user-friendly to utilize an intuitive user interface, which makes it even simpler for the user to create the selections he needs in order to extract data from the web. eXtractorONE has, for example, different API connectors for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN, Youtube, Google Analytics, Walmart, Bol.com, Zalando, BestBuy and RDW.

Making it Readable

Have semi-structured data in the same format (and location) as your company data, so that you can integrate it with local data or make use of your existing reporting tools.

Business Intelligence and Marketing Intelligence managers would love to have semi-structured data in the same format (and location) as their company data, so they can integrate it with local data or make use of their existing reporting tools to query on that ‘unreadable’ format. Lots of corporate data is still stored in the traditional relational data model and has a popular and ready-made query language: SQL. So why not convert those XML and JSON documents into a tabular model in a database like MS SQL Server? eXtractorONE can do it for you in a few clicks away!

Time and Money saving

Shredding complex XML structures into a readable format in a tabular model where structure changes are captured automatically. No need for scripting. Just select your source and target database and Go!

Especially XML can have elements, deeply nested within each other in complex ways. Shredding all the elements into a readable format in a tabular model requires lots and lots of coding. Code generators and ETL software still need advanced modeling skills. Many objects need to be created manually and knowledge is required of schema validation. Like Meta Manager tools, all these implementations are limited to the predefined bridges. With eXtractorONE you no longer need to have developers working on scripting to shred that data into a table structure. Changes are captured automatically.

Storing History

You don’t need to build a historical data store on top of the shredded data. automatically save changed data in a snapshot layer so that you don’t need to build a historical data store on top of shredded data.

eXtractorONE automatically saves the changed data in a snapshot layer. A third layer generates automatically a ‘history on history’ layer: Changed, New and Deleted rows are stored with a Valid Date (from/to), a Valid Indicator and a Surrogate Key. eXtractorONE uses the location in the source document as a Primary Key which is often sufficient to determine changes. eXtractorONE also provides the capability to configure manually primary keys if the automatic generation doesn’t meet the criteria. In case you have thousands of documents to process, don’t worry, eXtractorONE compares the data with earlier shredded data.

NO SCRIPTING NEEDED, DO IT ALL WITH SIMPLE CONFIGURATION.

ECOMMERCE

As a retailer you can download product data from several API’s to your local database. Monitor changes in availability, stock and list prices. Analyze products of competitors and create a benchmark. Create your own dashboards on top of the extracted data.

GOOGLE

Store Google Analytics data in your database for reporting and analysis. The days of online marketers spending hours manually creating reports each month are over!

SOCIAL MEDIA

People are talking, are you listening? Mind the importance of social media monitoring. Download Social Media data to your local database for use with any reporting tool.

INSIGHTS

Extract all reports and ETL definitions from your Business Intelligence system and load them into your local database. Perfect for data lineage, searching in data items, creating automatic documentation and information quality.

“We are finding more and more use for eXtractorONE. I am amazed how powerful and easy to use the application can be.
eXtractorONE saves us money and time in documenting our Business Intelligence Reports, performing quick searches in
big and complex XML files and integrating semi-structured data from our manufacturing process software with existing relational data.”
CHRISTIAN LADEVIG KROGH - BUSINESS ENTITY PROCESS MANAGER NATIONAL OILWELL VARCO SUBSEA PRODUCTION SYSTEMS. BRØNDBY, DENMARK
“eXtractorONE gives us insight into the IBM Cognos and IBM Data Stage definitions without requiring technical knowledge. In addition, we can very easily extract our product information from the catalogs of Bol.com and Zalando and even store and monitor the changes in price and availability. Invoking Bol.com and Zalando was not possible yet in our software but has been developed incredibly quickly for us”
ROB PETERS - IT MANAGER INFRASTRUCTURE, BI AND INTEGRATION FOR O'NEILL EUROPE
“In less than an hour we were up and running with eXtractorONE. The connection to the Leviy API was flawless,
table creation and data population was done in seconds. Now we can extract the assessments endpoint on daily basis.
We do not need a consultant to access new endpoints as the tool is very intuitive. We are enthousiastic about
this tool and explore the possibilites to query on our IBM Cognos metadata, extract weather data etc. Looks very promising!”
